Setting up a TP-Link WiFi Router for use with an MFD

1. If the TP-Link is not new, or if the TP-Link needs to be reset, press and hold the reset button located next to the power input port. Keep the reset button pressed until the green light is OFF for a few seconds.

2. Connect to the TP-Links self-created Wifi network, the SSID (eg. TP-Link_7774) and Wireless Password (eg. 69749285) is found on the bottom of your TP-Link box.

3. Open a web browser and go to http://tplinkwifi.net

If you are prompted to enter a password, the default username is admin and the password is admin (all lower case). 

If you are prompted to create a password, please enter admin1 in both boxes (all lower case).

4. Enter the ‘Quick Setup’ menu and choose Next.

5. Leave the password unchanged and click Next.

6. Choose ‘Client’ as the operation mode and click Next.

7. The available WiFi networks should appear, choose ‘Connect’ next to the WiFi you want to connect to.

8. Enter your WiFi password and click Next.

9. Leave the settings as ‘Smart IP (DHCP)’ this will receive the IP address from the network and pass it onto the MFD. Click Next.

10. Click Finish – you may need to scroll down the page a little to see the Finish button. 

The TP-Link will restart (30 seconds) and should connect automatically to your WiFi network. If there are any problems, reset the TP-Link by following step one of this guide.
